EXPERIENCE
I am currently a Ph.D in counseling student at the Oregon State University. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Counseling from Western Seminary. I also hold a graduate degree in urban studies and have over ten years of experience working in the field of urban planning. In addition, I am a certified mediator who is trained in conflict management techniques and problem solving skills. I speak on topics related to marital relations, parenting, and emotional/spiritual wellness.
Prior to starting my own practice, I had worked with mental health patients at the Columbia River Mental Health Services, and recovering addicts at the Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center. Most recently, I was a practicing therapist at Charis Counseling Associates in Vancouver, Washington.
My overseas experience includes working with at-risk youths, orphans, and survivors of human trafficking, natural disasters, and war. I counsel in English and Asian languages - specifically Mandarin Chinese and Thai languages.
